The Wright State University Foundation, Inc., is a catalyst for stimulating greater achievement, recognition and support for Wright State University. Working in partnership with the university, the foundation actively engages in fundraising to support university priority needs and effectively manages gifts and bequests of money and property for the benefit of Wright State. The foundation also promotes greater understanding of the university's mission and accomplishments, and builds goodwill for WSU through the strengthening of networks with alumni and other constituencies.

The foundation operates under the auspices of a board of trustees whose members are respected business and professional men and women. Members share a common interest in WSU's academic programs, its research, community service and its success. They serve without compensation, and provide sound management of the foundation's investments and activities.

The foundation is a legally separate, tax-exempt organization operating under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is registered with the State of Ohio as a charitable organization.
