2007 CORPORATE APPEAL
Fiscal year 2007 marks the fifteenth year for Wright State University’s annual appeal to the Miami Valley’s corporate community.
In 1964, area businesses recognized the need to establish a public university to expand the educated workforce and ensure the region’s economic vitality. Today, Wright State is proud to celebrate its 40th anniversary as a vibrant academic community, that creates new knowledge, develops solutions that become nationwide models, and strengthens the climate for business in our region.
Philanthropic support created Wright State, and remains essential to everything it has and will accomplish. Last year more than 6,000 corporations, foundations, and research organizations partnered with Wright State University to promote academic excellence and the region’s economic development. Since state support has continued to decline, universities, like Wright State, must turn to corporate friends to ensure continued excellence and innovation.
We are honored to chair the 2007 Corporate Appeal and believe strongly that the future of Miami Valley industry and education are intertwined. This year, we have a talented and dedicated team of corporate volunteers who share our commitment to Wright State and this corporate appeal.
