WSU United Nation's Team Wins for 31st Consecutive Year! For the 31st consecutive year, the National Model United Nations team brought home top honors from the annual National Model United Nations Conference held in New York, a record unmatched by any other four-year college or university in the country. Wright State's student team was awarded four top honors: Outstanding Delegation (the highest honor) for Germany, Outstanding Delegation for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Outstanding Position Paper for the ICC, and Outstanding Position Paper for Germany. Wright State University's history of partnership with the business community spans back to our founding in 1962 when area businesses recognized the need to establish a public university in the Miami Valley to expand the region's education work force and ensure its economic vitality. These businesses joined forces to organize a community fund drive that raised the seed money to create Wright State University.
