WSU United Nation's Team Wins for 31st Consecutive Year!
For the 31st consecutive year, the National Model United Nations team brought home top honors from the annual National Model United Nations Conference held in New York, a record unmatched by any other four-year college or university in the country. Wright State's student team was awarded four top honors: Outstanding Delegation (the highest honor) for Germany, Outstanding Delegation for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Outstanding Position Paper for the ICC, and Outstanding Position Paper for Germany. This year, four Wright State delegates were bestowed with outstanding delegates in committee honors. More...

Wright State University's history of partnership with the business community spans back to our founding in 1962 when area businesses recognized the need to establish a public university in the Miami Valley to expand the region's education work force and ensure its economic vitality. These businesses joined forces to organize a community fund drive that raised the seed money to create Wright State University.

Today that tradition continues as Wright State forges intellectual partnerships with a wide variety of corporations and foundations, resulting in new business development and ground-breaking research benefiting individual businesses and the university. Their investments in Wright State not only ensure the continued strength of business and industry in the Miami Valley, but also add to its competitive edge. Specifically, corporate and foundation partners help Wright State:
  • Meet the region's need for increased numbers of educated and skilled workers.
  • Keep metropolitan Dayton attractive to the business sector.
  • Improve the quality of life for the region's citizens.
  • Advance the frontiers of research and technology that promote economic development.
